Path of blood in pulmonary circulation?
deoxygentaed blood returns from all parts of the body just not the lungs into right atrium where its pumped into the right ventricle
Right ventricle contracts and then de oxygenated blood sent through the pulmonary artery to the lungs
In the lungs carbon dioxide diffuses out of teh capilaries an doxygen diffuses into teh capilaries
The oxygenated blood then flow into venules which merge into pulmonary veins that lead to the left atrium of the heart
From teh left atrium blood is pumped into teh left ventricle and then to the body though the aorta
What artery is the only artery that caries de oxygenated blood? pulmoanry artery branches into how many smaller arteries? And each of them goes where? these arteries branch into what in where?
pulmonary artery , 2 more arteries, to each lung , artioles and capilaries in the lungs
so where are arterioles and capialries located in the pulmonary circulation?
in the lungs
pulmonary circulation begins in which part of teh heart? Ends where?
begins in the left ventricle, ends in the left atrium
how many pulmonary arteries do we have? Normal pulmonary arteris? Pulmonary Arterioles?
Pulmonary venules? Pulmonary veins?
we have 1 pulmonary 2 arteries and we have 4 arterioles , 8 , 4
the pulmonary circulartio between heart and lungs includes which arteries and veins?
pulmonary
blood is sent to the lungs from which side of the heart? Then its returned to which side of the heart?
from the right side, left
pulmonary is opposite of systematic and coronary in which?
oxygen rich blood flows from the heart and deoxygenated blood returns to the heart
the route of systematic circulation? Just check the. Book
oxygenated blood is pumped out of teh left ventricle and into the aorat and teh aorta branches into large and small arteries and spread throughout the body from theaorta blood flows into syubsystems of systematic circulartion such as coronary hepatatic portal and renal circulation
Exchange of gases and dissole substances between cells and blood occur by the simple diffusion
What are the sub systems of systematic circulation?
we have coronary we have hepatatic protal and we have renal circulation
exchange of ….. and …… substances between cells and blood occur by the simple ……
gases, disolve, diffusion
deoxygenated blood in teh capilaries is transfered into what? The venules are linked to each other to form a larger …… that takes blod to the ….. …..
venules , vein , right atrium

Are both vena cavas present?
The three sub systems which ones contain which groups of capilaries? coronary takes blood to where?
yep, coronary doesnt have any , hepatatic has liver and intenstine, renal has kidney, while capilaries of legs dont have any sub systems ,. To heart
In pulmonary is gas already oxygenated or becomes oxygenated? What about systemnatic?
pulmanroy ius deoxygenated into oxygenated, while systematic is oxygenated into deoxygenated
what is coronoary circulation def? if blood flows in coronary arteries is reduced or ct off what can happen? when can blood be cut off?
its the subsystem of systematic circulation taht supplies blood to teh heart itself by coronary arteries , muscle cells will die , this can happen when artery is blocked by blood clot of by atheroscerosis
artheroscerosis is a disease charactrized by?
the build up of fatty materials on the interior walls of the coronary arteries
Which types of bloackage can elad to a heart attack
Bloot clot blockage or atheroscerosis
Heart attack is a disease that occures by the?
blockage of coronary arteries
what are the arteries that we need to know the names of
radial and coronary
which organs have all three types of blood vessels?
all organs do
we have the pictures of pulmonary circulation and systematic circulation
Pulmonary circulation it starts with? And O2 enters the blood in the? What is the path that it takes?
co2, capilaries in the lungs, pulmonary artery capilaries pulmonary vein
systematic circulartion startswith? what is the pathway that it takes?
O2, artery capilaries veins
In systematic does O2 enter blood or exit? what about pulmonary?
exit, it enters
We can say o2 gets out of the capilaries at the?
subsystems
lymphatic system is it a closed or open system?
its an open system
the circulatory system consists fo which two systems?
cardiovascular and lymphatic
lymphtaic system def?
is a part of circulatory system and connects with teh cardiovascular system by the superior vena cava
What is lymph? its pathway?
lymph is that nutrients oxygen hormones and etc that spills froim capilaries which are absoirbed by the lymph capialries and are moved by lymph vessels to teh nodes in which it cleans the oathogens in it and sends the lymph back into the heart
Are lymphnodes organs?
yes they are
the fluid that the lymph capialries collect is called? how does it spill?
lymph , some of the fluids pass into cells while some return to capilaries and some fluid remain in the intercellular space
Lymph nodes store …. And trapping …… …..
lymphocytes and trappibng foreign particles
lymph def?
is a tissue fluid that lacks proteins and red blood cells and moves into the tiny vessels of lymphatic capilaries
Lymph is everything except? Even ….. are lymphs?
protein and red blood cells , amino acids
lymph capilaries merge to form? and lymph returns to heart by? and it moves through small organs called?
larger vessels, superior vena cava , lymph nodes
Lymph node def?
are smal organs that filter lymph as it passes through trapping ferign particles microorganisms and other tissue debris and they also store lymphocytes
lymphocytes def?
are types of white blood cells that are specialized to fight diseases
when do lymph nodes mey becoem inflaemd swollen and tender?
when number of pathogens increase the number of lymphocytes also increase in response to the pathogen attack
diffrence between blood vessels and lymph vesels?
form a complete circuit so that blood passes from teh heart to all parts of teh body and then back again to teh heart
But lymph vessels form a one way system, that returns fluids collected to the heart
Lymph capilaries are similar in structure to? And larger lymph vessels are similar in structure to? They even contain?
blood capilaries, veins they even contain valves
why do lymph vessels have valves?
to prevent the fluid from moving backwards
which part of the lymphatic system has cells of the immune system?
lymphnodes

Does lymph fluid have white blood cells? what is another name for lymph fluid?
yes it does , tissue fluid
Does aorta have a valve? Pulmonary artery
What about pulmonary vein?
yep yep nope
does blood contain white blood cells?
yep
