  • 17% democrat congressional candidates want the US to continue to support israel whilst also giving aid to gaza, 7% wanted to stop supporting the war completely, 13% said the us must unconditionally support israel and 44% made no mention on their stance

  • August 2024, a group of pro palestinian democrats said their request to speak at democratic national convention was denied by party leaders

  • Bernie Sanders “not another nickel” until israel leader changes

  • The US senate in april 2024, passed a $95 billion foreign aid package aimed at bolstering support for ukraine and israel- only 2 democrats voted against it

  • Only 0.56% for green leader Stein, the division over Palestine didn’t cause a huge koss

  • United by ukraine, only 13% of democrats thought too much money was sent to Ukraine

- medicare for all, progressives want universal healthcare but mainstream democrats have squashed that

- the build back better plan initially failed 2021, criticised by manchin, negotiations between manchin and chuck schumer but became the inflation reduction act
