Quality
Conformance to what is required, judged against requirements and expectations.

Requirements
Specifications, standards, tolerances, functions, and agreed criteria.

Consistency
Outputs should not depend on luck; results should remain dependable over time.

Fitness for use
The product or service should perform its intended purpose for the user.

Hardware Quality Criteria
Correct assembly, stable power, acceptable measurements, and component reliability.

Software Quality Criteria
Correct functions, fewer defects, usability, security, and maintainability.

Networks Quality Criteria
Availability, throughput, latency, correct configuration, and secure access.

IoT / Embedded Quality Criteria
Accurate sensing, dependable communication, and correct control response.

Technical Service Quality Criteria
Correct installation, clear support, response time, and consistent service.
Quality Assurance (QA)
A process-focused approach that provides confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled by preventing problems.
Quality Control (QC)
An output-focused approach that fulfills quality requirements by checking, identifying, and correcting defects in actual outputs.

Plan (QA)
Define procedures, responsibilities, standards, documentation, and acceptance methods.

Prevent (QA)
Build good practices into the process so defects are less likely to occur.

Improve (QA)
Review the process, identify causes of recurring issues, and make systematic changes.

Inspect (QC)
Check components, workmanship, configurations, or completed outputs.

Test (QC)
Measure whether actual performance meets the required criteria.

Correct / report (QC)
Identify nonconformities, isolate defects, and provide evidence for corrective action.
Accuracy (Service Quality)
Reflects whether the problem was correctly diagnosed and resolved.
Timeliness (Service Quality)
Reflects whether the service was delivered within the expected response time.
Consistency (Service Quality)
Reflects whether another customer would receive the same standard of service.
Communication (Service Quality)
Reflects whether instructions, status, and documentation were clear.
