T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells.

Granulocytes

White blood cells with large granules in their cytoplasm.

Chemotaxis

Chemical signals that attract phagocytes to microorganisms.

Adherence

Attachment of a phagocyte to the surface of a microorganism.
