Robbery

Intentionally taking property from the person of another, or in the person’s presence, by force or threat of force.

Escape

Intentionally departing from legal custody, e.g., arrest or jail.

Arson (Older definition)

Intentionally and maliciously burning someone else’s dwelling house or outhouse that is either appurtenant to the dwelling house or within the curtilage.

Arson (Modern definition)

Intentionally and wrongfully burning someone else’s real property or one’s own real property.

Theft/Larceny

The intentional taking and removing of another’s personal property with the intent of permanently depriving the owner of the property.

Burglary (Older definition)

Intentionally breaking and entering another’s dwelling at night with the intent to commit a felony therein.

Burglary (Modern definition)

Intentionally breaking and entering any building with the intent to commit a felony therein.

Kidnapping

Intentionally seizing and detaining or carrying away a person by force or fraud.

Assault

Intentionally threatening or using force on another, causing that person to have a reasonable apprehension of imminent harmful or offensive contact.

Battery

Intentionally using force against another, resulting in harmful or offensive contact.

Rape (Older definition)

Intentional sexual intercourse committed by a man with a woman not his wife through force and against her will.

Rape (Modern definition)

Intentionally engaging in sexual activity (especially intercourse) with a person without consent.
