Hinduism
One of the oldest religions in the world, originating in the Indian subcontinent, with a diverse set of beliefs and practices.
Vedas
The oldest and most authoritative texts in Hinduism, consisting of hymns, rituals, and teachings, divided into four collections.
Dharma
The moral and ethical duties and responsibilities of individuals based on various factors in society.
Kama
The pursuit of sensual pleasures, love, and enjoyment, considered one of the four goals of human life in Hinduism.
Artha
The pursuit of material wealth and success, seen as essential for supporting family and contributing to society.
Moksha
The ultimate goal of Hinduism; liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara).
Reincarnation
The belief in the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, where the soul is reborn into new lives based on past karma.
Atman
The individual soul or self, which is eternal and ultimately one with Brahman, the ultimate reality.
Karma
The law of cause and effect that dictates how a person’s actions influence their future lives.
Trimurti
The three principal gods in Hinduism: Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the destroyer).
