Dogs- two or more dogs
Dog’s- one dog owning something
Dogs’- two or more dogs owning something
Colons
there must be a complete sentence to the left of a colon
there can basically be anything after it
Punctuation rule
no commas before “of” and “to”
Transitions
when considering “additionally” imagine using first and then second
Semi-colons
can separate items that ALREADY have commas in a list
ex: I lived in Los Angeles, CA; Housten, TX; and Portland, Oregon.

tend to cancel each other out
