1957 Eisenhower Doctrine

Pleaded with the United States to defend Middle Eastern governments threatened by communism or Arab nationalism

(Started because Israel, France and Britain were invading Egypt and Eisenhower was mad because their entire image was freedom, which they did not follow by invading Israel)

1973 Cambodia Bombings

Bombed Cambodia because Nixon and Henry Kissinger wanted to get rid of Vietnamese strongholds and lose their sense of reality; demoralize them.

24th Amendment

Outlawed poll tax when voted which had previously affected black and some white voters in south

time period of johnson’s presidency, lots of civil rights movement

26th Amendment

Gave 18 year olds the right to vote

Mostly because American boys were being sent into war without having any say.
