Maintenance tasks categorized under FAR Part 43 Appendix A that could appreciably affect weight, balance, structural strength, performance, or flight characteristics.
Minor Repairs and Alterations
Maintenance tasks that do not significantly alter the weight, balance, structural strength, performance, or flight characteristics of an aircraft.
Preventative Maintenance
Simple or minor preservation operations and replacement of small standard parts as defined in FAR §43.3, which still require proper entry in maintenance records.
Annual Inspection
A calendar-based inspection required every 12months for airworthiness, authorized to be performed only by an Inspection Authorization (IA), certified repair station, or the manufacturer.
100-Hour Inspection
