what is the difference between absolute and relative location?
relative location uses a reference point in a relationship to another point wheres absolute location is the exact location you are located in.
How are globes and map projections related?
A globe is a scale model of Earth that depicts the area, distance and direction and a map projection is exactly that but flat on Paper.
How are site and situation different?
situation is the place of feature in a larger region such as, Texas. whereas site is the specific location of a place such as Katy.
What are the 5 Themes of Geography?
Location, Movement, place, Human-Environment interaction, and Region.
What is the difference between human and physical geography?
Human geography is about population, political, cultural, behavioral while Physical geography is about remote sensing, soil, etc. Human geography is about humans and their problems or politics, etc.
How is geography related to other subjects/careers?
Because you can use geography in being a weather person, education, Business, Polotics, ecology, healthcare
Why are satellites used in map making?
So that satellites can sun earth and it can show different roads,
countries, highways, etc.

people can cause pollution, construction, human pop. growth, conservational \n Parks, etc.
Explain formal, functional, and perceptual regions and how they different?
formal is defined by a common characteristic for example states in the U.S. \n Functional - a central place + the surrounding territory linked to EX: At&t in functional Places Perceptional- defined by Popular feelings + images rather than by objective data. Functional is likevelative location. Perceptional is howone person sees it.
What is GIS and how is it used?
stores all of the scans and pictures of earth and on phone somewhere.
it is used to produce 3-D images.

Gps uses satellites and receivers to provide absolute location of something on earth. Gis process and organize data that links a location to its characteristics.
