Augustine original sin
As a result of Adam and Eve’s sin, sin is passed on through the generations to all of us, since they were the first humans
He called this ‘original sin’; the idea that we are all born as sinful individuals.
In order to be forgiven by God, human beings are in need of grace. Grace is achieved through accepting Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross as a ‘payment’ for sin.
