Volumes are controlled by:

(i) using pipettes, volumetric flasks and burettes for dilutions and titrations to measure volumes precisely/accurately.

Concentrations are controlled by:

(i) rinsing burettes and pipettes with the appropriate solutions to remove any residual water.

Readings and endpoints are controlled by:

(iii)  taking readings at eye level to avoid parallax errors to obtain accurate readings.

• The sample is old / past its best before date / expired
