The Great Commission
The instruction given by Jesus in Matthew28:16−20 to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe His commands.
Eleven disciples
The number (11) of Jesus' direct followers who met Him on a mountain in Galilee and witnessed His ascension.
Mountain in Galilee
The location where Jesus directed His disciples to go, where they worshiped Him, though some doubted.
Holy Spirit
The source of power that Jesus told His disciples they would receive before becoming His witnesses.
Witnessing Scope
The geographic progression of the disciples' mission: Jerusalem, all Judea, Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
The Ascension
The event described in Luke24:50−53 and Acts1:4−11 where Jesus was lifted up and taken into heaven by a cloud.
Two men in white robes
The figures who appeared after the Ascension to inform the disciples that Jesus would return in the same way He had left.
Post-Ascension Activities
The actions taken by the disciples after Jesus ascended: they returned to Jerusalem with great joy, worshiped Him, and stayed in the Temple praising God.
