Nuclei
The center of an atom, made of protons and neutrons.
Covalent Bond
The force of attraction that holds together two atoms that share a pair of valence electrons.
Ionic Bond
A type of bond where electrons are transferred from one atom to another, unlike covalent bonds which share electron pairs.
Molecule
The smallest particle of a covalent compound that still has the properties of the compound.
Chemical Bond
A force of attraction between atoms or ions that share or transfer valence electrons.
Compound
Two or more substances that combine to create a new unique substance with a fixed ratio of elements and a constant composition.
