antianxiety drugs
eg. xanax
designed to reduce anxiety and produce relaxation by lowering sympathetic activity in the brain (agonist: inhibits GABA)
side effects: sleepiness, dizziness, fatigue, headaches, slurred speech

antidepressant drugs

antipsychotic drugs

antagonist (decreases activity of dopamine receptors in brain)
