Apologetics
The branch of theology that is concerned with the defense or proof of Christianity.
Apologia
A speech in defense of what one has done, or of truth which one believes.
Historical Jesus
The reconstruction of the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth by critical historical methods.
Intelligent Faith
A belief that is based on reason and evidence, appealing to both mind and heart.
Objective Faith
Faith that is based on an object, namely Jesus of Nazareth, whose identity and actions can be substantiated.
Truth
A statement or concept that corresponds to reality and can be examined for validity.
Falsification
The action of proving a statement or theory to be false.
Census
An official count or survey of a population, often recording various details about individuals.
Manuscript Attestation
The evaluation of the existence and reliability of historical documents through surviving manuscripts.
Bibliographical Test
A test used by historians to assess the reliability of ancient documents based on the number of manuscripts and their proximity to the original texts.
