• Jesuit Presupposition: What is the Jesuit Presupposition? What are the 4 points of the presupposition?

Jesuit Presupposition is a way to be more open and understanding. It is to assume good intentions, ask clarifying questions & approach from curiosity, correct with love, and seek mutual ground. 

• How does the Jesuit Presupposition enhance our positive interactions with others?

Jesuit Presupposition allows people to be more open and understanding when someone says something unnormal. It allows us to be more positive by giving the person a chance to explain.

1. Focal point challenge:

we did this challenge to see how long we could focus on an object or area without getting distracted With people or our environment around us.

2. Community Cards:

To find similarities and to connect with a new people in our community So we can learn more about each other.

1. Voice Level Challenge

this helped us gain social awareness about our talking voices, and to help us maintain an appropriate voice level when Teachers or others are talking.

Is a clear and careful plan that helps you turn a big wish into a step by step target that you can reach. 

Specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time bound. 

• What is the minimum GPA of a UC?

3.0

What is the minimum GPA of a CSU?

2.5

• What schools are more common UC or CSU?

USC because there’s 23 campuses while there is 9 undergraduate campuses for UCs.

• Impacted majors and what that means

Impacted majors will have stricter requirements. Ex. engineering and nursing students will need to have strong grades in math and science courses. 

• What schools accept extracurriculars and PIQs

UCs only

• What are A-G Requirements? What schools require them?

UCs and CSU require them . They are the courses  you must take in order to apply to UCs and CSUs

• What courses make up the A-G Requirements?

Area A:  History minimum 2 yrs 

Area B: English 4 yrs

Area C:  Math 3 yrs 4 recommended 

Area D: Science 2 yrs

Area E: Language 2 yrs of non English language

Area F: Visaul and performing arts 1 yr

Area G:college preparatory elective 1 yr

• Differences in UC and CSU acceptance rates

The difference between UC and CSU is that UC schools have lower acceptance rates, while CSU schools have higher acceptance rates.

• What factors impact acceptance odds when applying to UC/CSU schools

 When applying to UC/CSU schools the likelihood of acceptance is your GPA, A-G requirements, local service area, major, talents, and PIQs

GPA: What is GPA?

Grade point average which is the average of the point value in each grade

•  Why is it important?

GPA is important because colleges look at it to see if you challenged yourself in your courses and if the classes were rigorous

What are the differences between types of GPA

cumulative Unweighted GPA- All courses using a four point scale with no added value for AP. first scholarships or private out of state colleges.

Cumulative weighted GPA- All courses using five points scale included value for passed AP classes.

Cal Grant GPA- all a-g Courses taken from summer of ninth grade through summer of 11th grade. Using a four point scale no added value for AP.

UC/CSU GPA- all a-g Courses taken from ninth grade summer to 11th grade summer. Using four grade point includes added value for AP

• How do GPA’s impact our ability to receive grants?

The higher the GPA the more likely it is that you receive grants that help pay for college

• What is the difference between a Grant and a Loan?

A grant is money that you don’t need to pay back and a loan is money you borrow and have to pay back with interest.
