TYPES OF AIR POLLUTION SYSTEMS

Uses a filter-cleaning system to filter out dust from the air

Pollutants are removed from gas streams through contact with scrubbing liquid

NOx Burners

Burning nitrous oxides

Catalytic Converter

Converts toxic pollutants in exhaust gas to less toxic pollutants by catalyzing an oxydation

Reduced nitrogen oxides to nitrogen and oxygen

Catalytic Converters in Qatar

All vehicles in Qatar are equipped with catalytic converters

When vehicles are inspected, they are tested to make sure the vehicles emissions are within regulations

Water Sampling

Refers to collecting contaminants from water to identify the pollutants and its density in the sampled water

Preliminary Treatment

Removal of gross solids such as rags, plastics, food scraps, and other grit and fats

Primary Treatment

Removal of any floating solids

Secondary Treatment

Turning contaminants into bio-solids which then settles to the bottom and filtered out

Tertiary Treatment

Filtering out any solids that got through the previous treatments and disinfecting to kill any harmful bacteria or viruses
