Constitution
The foundational framework made to lay down the basic principles for governing India.
Universal Adult Franchise
The system under which every adult citizen has the right to vote, regardless of their social or economic background.
Parliament
The supreme legislative body in India that makes laws and functions with the consent of the people.
Majority Party
The political party with a majority of representatives that forms the government.
Opposition
The political parties that do not form the government and serve to contend or guard the actions of the governing party.

The first Lok Sabha in India, which was constituted in 1952.
18th Lok Sabha
The Lok Sabha constituted in June 2024, marking one of 18 Lok Sabhas constituted since independence.
