This is for the rules of the road section of the G1 test. This is to get a better understanding of the demerit point system and other rules.
If you receive 2 or more points as a G1 or G2 driver what action is taken?
You will recieve a warning letter.
If you receive 6 points as a G1 or G2 driver what action(s) is/are taken?
You may have to attend an interview to give reason why your licence should not be suspended
If you do not go to the interview your licence could be suspened.
If you receive 9 or more points as a G1 or G2 driver what action(s) is/are taken?
Your licence will be suspended for 60 days.
You can lose your licence for up to 2 years if you fail to surrender your licence.
After suspension the number of points is reduce to four.
Any extra points could again bring you to the interview level.
If nine points is reached again your licence can be suspended for 6 months.
What actions are taken when a fully licenced driver receives 6 points?
You will receive a warning letter recommending to improve your driving skills.
What actions are taken when a fully licenced driver receives 9 points?
You may have to go to an interview to give reason on why your licence should not be suspended.
You may have to complete a driver re-examination (if test is failed your licence can be cancelled).
If you fail to attend the interview or give reasoning your licence can be suspended.
What actions are taken when a fully licenced driver receives 15 points?
Your licence will be suspended for 30 days.
You can lose your licence for up to two years if you fail to surrender it.
After suspension the number of points is reduced to 7.
Any extra points can bring you to the interview level.
If your reach 15 points again your licence can be suspended for 6 months.
