Chemical Properties
Properties that describe the ability of a substance to change into a new substance through chemical reactions.
Physical Properties
Characteristics of a substance that can be observed or measured without changing its composition or identity, such as color, physical state, mass, volume, and density.
Meter
The base unit for length in the metric system, equal to approximately 39.4inches.
Gram
The base unit for mass in the metric system.
Liter
The base unit for volume in the metric system.
Kilo- (prefix)
A metric prefix abbreviated as a lowercase k that acts as a multiplying factor of 1000 (103).
Centi- (prefix)
A metric prefix representing one one-hundredth (0.01 or 10−2) of the base unit.
Milli- (prefix)
A metric prefix representing one one-thousandth (0.001 or 10−3) of the base unit.
Micro- (prefix)
A metric prefix representing one one-millionth (10−6) of the base unit, often abbreviated as MC in the medical field.
