creations “of the mind”, like inventions, music, books, software, and trademarks, that are legally protected

Patent

legal protection that gives an inventor exclusive rights to an invention for a limited time

Time sihfting

recording media to watch or listen to it later

Space shifting

moving legally owned digital content from one device or format to another for personal use

a small file stored by a website on your device to remember information about you or track your activity
