Layers Panel

A non-destructive way to hide parts of a layer, allowing for later refinements.
Non-Destructive Editing
Editing that allows changes to be made without permanently altering the original image.
Adjustment Layers
Layers that enable non-destructive adjustments to the image without altering original pixels.
Clip Adjustment Layer
Limiting an adjustment layer to one layer using the Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows) key.
Select and Mask
Tool used to isolate the foreground for adjustments in Photoshop.
Aspect Ratio
The relationship between the width and height of an image maintained during resizing.
W x H x Resolution
An option in Photoshop that allows cropping to a specific dimension.
Clone Stamp Tool
A manual tool in Photoshop that copies one part of an image to another without blending.
Content-Aware Fill
A Photoshop feature that fills an area by automatically using surrounding pixels.
Normalize Audio Track
The process of adjusting all clips to the same peak audio level in Premiere Pro.
Sampling Rate
The number of samples taken per second to enhance audio quality.
Audio Ducking
A technique that lowers the volume of background music during voiceovers.
Multiband Compressor
A tool allowing independent compression of different frequency ranges in audio editing.
Razor Tool
A tool in Premiere Pro that splits clips at a selected point in the timeline.
Program Monitor
Used to preview the final sequence as it will appear in the exported video.

A method to animate properties over time in Premiere Pro.
