The Competitor
One of the seven types of toxic friendships characterized by a constant need to outdo or rival the other person.
The Flake
A type of toxic friendship where the individual is consistently unreliable and fails to follow through on commitments.
The User
A toxic friendship type where one person exploits the other for personal gain or benefits.
The Controller
A toxic friend who attempts to dictate or dominate the actions and choices of the other person.
The Bad Influence
A type of toxic friendship that encourages or leads one toward negative or harmful behaviors.
The Jokester
A toxic friendship type where humor is used inappropriately, often at the expense of others or to mask deeper issues.
The Two-Face
A toxic friendship characterized by hypocrisy, where the individual acts as a friend to one's face but behaves differently or speaks ill behind their back.
Life and Dignity of the Human Person
A Catholic Social Teaching asserting that human life is sacred and the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society.
Call to Family, Community, and Participation
The Catholic Social Teaching emphasizing that how we organize our society—in economics, politics, and law—directly affects human dignity and the capacity of individuals to grow in community.
Rights and Responsibilities
A Catholic Social Teaching stating that every person has a fundamental right to life and a right to those things required for human decency, alongside duties to one another and society.
Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
The Catholic Social Teaching that instructs society to put the needs of the poor and vulnerable first.
The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers
A Catholic Social Teaching that views work as a form of continuing participation in God’s creation and protects the basic rights of workers.
Solidarity
The Catholic Social Teaching based on the principle that we are one human family regardless of national, racial, ethnic, economic, and ideological differences.
Care for God’s Creation
A Catholic Social Teaching calling for the protection of the people and the planet, showing our respect for the Creator.
Intrinsic Motivation
A type of motivation driven by internal rewards or the inherent satisfaction of the activity itself.
Extrinsic Motivation
Motivation that comes from external factors, such as rewards, praise, or the avoidance of punishment.
Internal Locus of Control
The belief that one's own actions and decisions directly influence and determine the outcomes of their life.
External Locus of Control
The belief that outcomes in life are determined by outside forces, luck, or fate rather than one's own efforts.
Moral Decision Making Model
A framework or set of steps used to evaluate the morality of an action and make ethical choices.
Storge
One of the four types of love, referring to natural affection or the bond shared between family members.
Philia
A type of love representing the strong bond or friendship between peers.
Eros
The type of love associated with romantic, passionate, or physical attraction.
Agape
The highest form of love, characterized as unconditional, selfless, or sacrificial love.
Conditions of Forgiveness
The specific requirements or elements necessary to facilitate the process of forgiving someone.
