Bad Shot
An espresso shot characterized by distorted crema that breaks apart and is dark in color.
Shot Window
The ideal espresso extraction time frame of 18-25 seconds.
Flex Shot
An espresso extraction timing of 17 & 26 seconds.
Espresso Usability Window
Within 30 seconds of finishing the extraction process, after which the shot becomes bitter and tastes burnt to the customer.
