A relationship of harmony and accord between the patient and the healthcare professional.

To show consideration or appreciation for another person; to feel or show deferential regard for.
Passive Communicion
AKA “Victim Mentality” They avoid expressing feelings or opinions. They fail to assert themselves and allow others to infringe (break) on their rights.
Aggressive Communication
Try to dominate others. Often criticize and attack others. Might invade your personal space and frown.
Passive-Aggressive Communication
May deny problems, and wont confront people or issues. They might look sweet and innocent.
Manipulative Communication
try to control others, will create situations where others might feel sorry for them. Might be condescending.
Assertive Communication
Clearly state their wants and needs. Will often use “I” statements. They might be relaxed, and use appropriate eye contact.
Therapeutic Communication
Process of communicating with patients in a respectful manner.
