Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Adoption

Adopted by world leaders in September 2015 at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit.

Aim of Sustainable Development

To balance economic, environmental, and social needs and thereby improve the quality of life and wellbeing on earth for present and future generations.

SDG 1: No Poverty Title

End poverty in all its forms everywhere.

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Not only completing an education but keeping knowledge up to date, staying in education, and getting higher degrees.

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.

Enhanced international and domestic financial, technological, and technical support, research and innovation, and increased access to information and communication technology.

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
