Capital Murder
A type of murder that is punishable by the death penalty and is committed purposefully.
Non-capital Murder
Murder that does not carry the death penalty and is committed purposefully, including felony murder and depraved heart murder.
Voluntary Manslaughter
The act of unlawfully killing another person without premeditation, often in mitigating circumstances such as heat of passion.
Involuntary Manslaughter
The unlawful killing of another human being unintentionally, often resulting from reckless actions.
Criminally Negligent Homicide
A crime resulting in death caused by reckless or criminally negligent acts.

False Imprisonment

The illegal taking or misappropriation of money or property entrusted to an individual's care.
