COMMUNICATION
A process of exchanging ideas, thoughts, or feelings between two or more people through speaking, writing, gestures, or other forms of expression.
Verbal Communication
A type of communication that uses speaking or writing.
Non-Verbal Communication
A type of communication that uses gestures, facial expressions, or body language.
SENDER
The person or group who creates and sends the message.
MESSAGE
The information, idea, thought, or feeling that the sender wants to communicate.
CHANNEL
The method or means used to send the message, such as speaking, writing, texting, email, or social media.
ENCODING
The process of turning thoughts or ideas into words, symbols, gestures, or other forms of communication.
RECEIVER
The person or group who receives the message.
DECODING
The process by which the receiver interprets and understands the message.
FEEDBACK
The receiver's response, which lets the sender know whether the message was understood.
BARRIER
Anything that interferes with or distorts the message, such as loud sounds, poor internet connection, language differences, or distractions.
CONTEXT
The situation, environment, culture, or circumstances in which communication takes place.
