They created a Committee on Public Information that educated the public on why the United States declared war. The CPI used propaganda to raise support for the war. They printed millions of posters that were used to dramatize the needs of America and its allies. The government also regulated industry and drafted soldiers

Conscientious objectors did not have to be part of the war. The government passed a law allowing postal authorities to ban treasonable newspapers this was called the espionage Act.

The African Americans moved from the south to the North for economic opportunities since the war called for soldiers men in the north were out of their jobs so African Americans moved in them. Also the Mexicans moved to the United States as well because their country was in a revolution and they faced violence and desperate poverty. Most of the Mexicans took jobs in the agricultural field
