Polymer

Fiber Crimp

Fabric Crimp
The structural bends created in yarns when they interlace or interloop during weaving or knitting.
Generic Group

Luster
The sheen or light reflection produced by the surface of a fiber or fabric.
Drape
The characteristic manner in which a fabric hangs or falls over a three-dimensional shape.
Texture

Hand
The tactile sensation felt when touching or handling a fabric.
Abrasion Resistance
The ability of a fiber to withstand mechanical surface friction without wearing away.
Flexibility
The capacity of a fiber to bend repeatedly without snapping.
Pilling
The formation of tiny balls of loose fiber ends and lint on the fabric surface.
Strength
The general capacity of a material to withstand applied forces.
Tenacity (Tensile Strength)
The specific resistance of a fiber to a breaking or pulling force.
Cohesiveness
