Purposeful Communication
Clear, intentional, and strategic communication where messages match the situation, audience, and purpose.
Audience
One of the key elements of communication, referring to the person or group who receives the message.
Purpose
The specific reason why a message is delivered, such as informing, requesting, expressing, or persuading.
Context
The element of communication referring to where and how communication happens, influencing whether the tone is formal or casual.
Structure
The organization of a message, typically beginning with a greeting, followed by a clear explanation, transitions, and ending with respect or thanks.
Nonverbal Communication Cues
Elements such as facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, posture, movement, and silence that support meaning and express feelings.
Personal Communication
A form of communication involving self-talk, journaling, and private messages that requires clarity and self-awareness.
Interpersonal Communication
Communication involving conversations, feedback, and requests that requires empathy and respect.
Informal Speech
A style of communication used with friends where the relationship allows for a less rigid tone.
Formal Tone
A style of communication used for meetings, written emails, or when speaking with elders or authority figures.
