What is the difference between Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)?
NAFLD = fat accumulation in the liver unrelated to alcohol use.
NASH = severe form with inflammation, hepatocyte injury, and fibrosis; can progress to cirrhosis and liver cancer.
NAFLD = fat only
NASH = fat + inflammation + damage
