Preposition meaning 'to / into', followed by the accusative case for ordinary destinations.
Accusative Case (Destination)
The case used following the preposition į to indicate motion toward an ordinary destination.
Locative Case
The case used to describe a static location, answering the question 'where?'.
Genitive Case After Negation
The case required for direct objects in negative sentences instead of the accusative case.

Noun meaning 'shop' or 'store'. Forms: į parduotuvę (to the shop), parduotuvėje (in/at the shop).
mokykla
Noun meaning 'school'. Forms: į mokyklą (to school), mokykloje (at school).
namas
Noun meaning 'house'. Forms: į namą (to/into the house), name (in/at the house).
miestas
Noun meaning 'city'. Forms: į miestą (to the city), mieste (in the city).
Vilnius
Proper noun for the city Vilnius. Forms: į Vilnių (to Vilnius), Vilniuje (in Vilnius).
