a career is work you like to do but a vocation is what god calls you to do

you may have several jobs in your lifetime, but a career is the kind of work you like to do

four steps in discernment

1) acknowledge the truth of god’s love for you

2) gathering info about your options

3) taking active steps towards a decision

4) make a decision

what is gathering information on about various options

gathering info about your different decisions to help you make one

example of an active step in decision making

god may be calling you to be a religious sister so an active step would be to visit a convent.
