What are the 3 types of communities?
Urban, Suburban, Rural
a human settlement with a high population density and infrastructure of built environment
Urban
Lower density areas that separate residential and commercial areas from one another. They are either part of a city or urban area, or exist as a separate residential community within commuting distance of a city
Suburban
A geographic area that is located outside towns and cities. Area is an open swath of land that has few homes or other buildings, and not very many people. Population density is very low.
Rural
What are the characteristics of a health community?

They identify the needs and priorities, and problems of individuals, families, and communities. They also interpret and implement nursing plan, program policies, memoranda, and circular for the concerned staff personnel
Planner/Programmer
They provide direct nursing care to sick, or disabled in the home, clinic, school, or work place. They also develop the family's capability to take care of the sick, disabled, or dependent member
Provider of Nursing Care
They motivate and enhance community participation in terms of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating health services. Also the one to initiate and participate in community development activities
Manger/Supervisor/Community Organizer
They coordinate with individuals, families, and groups for health related services provided by various members of the health team
Coordinator of Services
They identify and interpret training needs of the RHMs, Barangay Health workers (BHW), and hilot. Also the one to conduct training for RHMs and hilots on pr0motion and disease prevention
Trainer/Health Educator/Counselor
They detect deviation from health of individuals, families, groups, and communities through contacts/visits with them
Health Monitor
They provide good example of healthful living to the members of the community
Role Model
They motivate changes in health behavior in individuals, families, groups, and communities that also include lifestyle in order to promote and maintain health
Change Agent
They prepare and submit required reports and records. Also maintain adequate, accurate, and complete recording and reporting
Recorder/Reporter
They participate in the conduct of survey studies and researches on nursing and health related subjects. Also coordinates with government and non-government organization in the implementation of studies/research
