What’s the modelling experiment?

Condition 1

• Male or female behaving aggressively towards a ‘Bobo Doll’. Used a hammer / threw doll in air/ shouted ‘Pow, boom’

  Condition 2

• Non-aggressive model, played in quiet manner for 10 minutes (either ignoring doll, interacting nicely with non-aggressive toys)

  Condition 3

• Control group + not exposed to any models , just to Bobo doll itself

What’s the Aggression Arousal experiment? (Second stage)

All subjected to “mind aggression arousal” being taken to new room with nice toys and told they were the experimenters very best toys and they were for the other children.

What’s the Delayed Imitation experiment?

• Next room contained some aggressive toys ; mallet, dart guns + 3 foot Boho doll

• Non-aggressive toys; tea set, crayons, three bears + plastic farm animals

• 20 minutes in room with behaviour observed + rated through a one- way mirror at 5-second interval
