An organization of people who share a common interest or activity. (Vietnamese: câu lạc bộ). Example: Why don't you join a chess club?
coach (n)
A person who trains and directs an athlete or sports team. (Vietnamese: huấn luyện viên). Example: After playing for ten years, Barry became a baseball coach.
competition (n)
An event or contest in which people compete with one another. (Vietnamese: cuộc thi đấu). Example: He'd entered a competition in the local newspaper.
concert (n)
A live musical performance given in public. (Vietnamese: buổi hòa nhạc). Example: Did you hear that the Rolling Stones did a concert in China?
defeat (v)
To win a victory over an opponent in a game, contest, or battle. (Vietnamese: đánh bại). Example: France defeated Italy 3-1.

An instance of being defeated or losing a contest. (Vietnamese: sự thất bại). Example: England suffered a 2-0 defeat.
entertaining (adj)
Providing enjoyment, amusement, or interest. (Vietnamese: có tính giải trí). Example: I saw a really entertaining programme on TV last night.
folk music (n phr)
Traditional music originating among ordinary people of a region. (Vietnamese: nhạc dân gian). Example: What I like about folk music is the sound of the guitar.
group (n)
A musical band or team of performers. (Vietnamese: nhóm nhạc). Example: My brother has got his own group and they play in our local area.
gym (n)
A place or club equipped for physical workout and fitness. (Vietnamese: phòng/câu lạc bộ thể hình). Example: I'm thinking of joining a gym.
have fun (v phr)
To enjoy oneself or have a good time. (Vietnamese: vui chơi). Example: We haven't had such fun for years.
interest (v)
To excite the curiosity or attention of someone. (Vietnamese: khiến ai thích thú). Example: Photography has always interested me.

An activity, subject, or hobby that one enjoys. (Vietnamese: hoạt động ưa thích). Example: Tell us about your interests and hobbies.
member (n)
An individual belonging to a group, club, or organization. (Vietnamese: thành viên). Example: Are you a member of the golf club?
opponent (n)
A person who competes against another in a contest or battle. (Vietnamese: đối thủ). Example: His opponent received only 36 per cent of the vote.
organise (v)
To make arrangements or preparations for an event. (Vietnamese: tổ chức). Example: Who's organising the conference?
pleasure (n)
A feeling of happy satisfaction and enjoyment. (Vietnamese: sự thư thái). Example: He smiled with pleasure when she walked in.
referee (n)
An official who presides over a sports game and enforces the rules. (Vietnamese: trọng tài). Example: The referee blew his whistle and the game began.
