Brown v. Board of Education
A landmark Supreme Court case in 1954 that declared segregation in public schools unconstitutional.
Fourteenth Amendment
Part of the U.S. Constitution that guarantees equal protection under the law.
Separate but Equal Doctrine
A legal doctrine that justified racial segregation; declared unconstitutional by Brown v. Board of Education.
