Used in heart failure in the later stages.  Helps decrease preload by acting like a natriuretic peptide.   Extremely limited use d/t concerns about safety.

This drug is really falling OUT of favor.  It can possibly worsen kidney failure and increase morality rates. In fact, one of the major manufacturing companies has stopped producing it.  It is HARD to get.
