Subject
The doer of an action in a sentence, such as "Rahul" in the sentence "Rahul plays cricket."
Verb
A word representing an action in a sentence, such as "played" in the sentence "They played football."
Direct Object
The person or thing that receives the action of the verb, identified by asking "Verb + what?" or "Verb + whom?"
Direct Object Example: Ramesh kicked the ball
In this sentence, the direct object is "The ball" because it answers the question "kicked what?"
Direct Object Example: we watched a movie
In this sentence, the direct object is "a movie" because it answers the question "watch what?"
Direct Object Example: I love chocolate
In this sentence, the direct object is "chocolate" because it answers the question "love what?"
