How do hawking and Krauthammer differ in terms of the future of the world?

Hawking described our species as something special because of our ability to understand the universe. However, he also described humans as an advanced breed of monkeys living on a significant planet with a typical star. Hawking stated that our only chances were to find a way off earth because we would inevitably destroy it. Krauthammer explains that it doesn’t matter if we leave this earth and find another home.
