coast, warm, contains largest trees

Deciduous Forest

dry, prone to fires (—> less trees, plants adapted to being burned)

dry air, high temps with low precipitation

Chaparral

coastal, mediterranean climate

Savanna

distinct dry seasons, tropical grassland, near equator, fires + large animals

Tropical Rainforest

equator, moisture, high annual rainfall, prominent agriculture production (*although has declined due to human activity)
