5's System
A systematized approach to organized work areas, keeping rules and standards, and maintaining discipline needed to do a good job.
Seiri (Sort)
The process of sorting out unnecessary items and disposing of them properly; involves waste elimination and stratification management.
Stratification Management
A technique used in the Seiri phase to deal with causes and eliminate waste.
Seiton (Systematize)
Arranging necessary items in good order so they can be easily picked up for use, eliminating obstacles, and ensuring functional storage where there is a place for everything.
Seiso (Sweep)
Cleaning the workplace completely so no dust remains on the floor, machinery, or equipment; it is considered a way of purifying the spirit and serving as a cleaning inspection.
Seiketsu (Standardize)
Maintaining high standards of workplace organization and housekeeping at all times through visual management and standardized activities.
Shitsuke (Self-Discipline)
The practice of habit formation where individuals do things spontaneously without being told or ordered to maintain a disciplined workplace.
Agriculture
The science of farming that includes the planting of crops and the raising of animals, providing food and jobs for many Filipinos.
Main Agricultural Products
The primary products of Philippine agriculture including rice, corn, coconut, sugar cane, and banana.
Fishery
The practice of catching and raising fish, especially significant in the Philippines due to its status as an archipelago with rich marine life.
Common Fishery Products
Key marine resources including fish, shrimp, crabs, and seaweeds.
