Democracy
A system of government where the people elect representatives to make laws.
Cycle of Laws
The cycle by which the government creates laws within a democracy.
Citizen Power
In a democracy citizens have the power to make decisions about their society.
Canadian Citizens
Everyone born in Canada and people who move to Canada and apply for citizenship.
Citizens
Members of society who are granted specific rights and responsibilities.
Oath of Citizenship
A solemn declaration of allegiance to the King and a promise to observe the laws and fulfill duties as a Canadian citizen.

A common privilege that all citizens enjoy, protected under the law.
Responsibility
Being held accountable for actions.
