How do you calculate exact trig values for sin, cos and tan using a table (explain it per row, including 0,30,45,60,90)

Sin column

1) start by writing numbers 0-4

2) square root those numbers

3) divide all of the numbers by 2

4) simplify

Cos column

1) the same numbers as sin except in reverse (backwards)

Tan column

1) start by writing numbers 0-4

2) square root those numbers

3) divide those numbers by the same numbers just in reverse

4) simplify

How do you calculate exact trig values using special squares (describe with types of triangles you would use and what you would do to them to find the exact trig values of 45, 30, 60)?

45 degrees

using a isosceles, right-angled triangle, where the 2 equal sides are one and the hypotneuse is root 2

2 of the angles would be 45 degrees and the other 90 degrees

using the 45 degrees substitute that into the SOHCAHTOA triangles and work out the trig value

30 and 60 degrees

An equilateral triangle with lengths of 2

cut in half to become a right-angled triangle

one of the angles would be 60 degrees and the other 30 degrees

using the 30 degrees and 60 degrees separately substitute them into the SOHCAHTOA triangles and work out the trig value
