most important agency in executive office. clearinghouse for all budget requests, advies president on fiscal and economic policies, creates annual federal budget, etc.

presedential directive to an egency directing it to alter its admin of policies. federal register. legal standing of an executive order.m

Signing statement

statement issued by president that is intended to modify implementation or ignore altogether provisions of a new law. interpretation

Unitary executive

president xlaims perogrative to attatch signing statements to bills and asserts his right to modify implementation

ignore altogether provisions of a new law that enroaches on his cponstitutional perogratives as the chief executive or as commander in chief.

War Powers act

requires president to inform copngress within 48 hours of committing troops abroad in miliatary action
