Metropet 250/500mg

Each Tab contains Metronidazole IP 250/500mg.

Metro pet Oral Suspension:

Each 5 ml Contains Metronidazole 200 mg

Indication

Metropet is indicated for the treatment of Dogs and Cats for deep infections including Gastrointestinal, Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Ear infection and Meningitis.

It is very effective for Clostridium and Fusobacterium spp., infection. It is the best drug for treatment of Giardiasis, Amoebiasis, Balantidium coli and Trichomonas infection.

Dosage

For Dogs, the dose is 10-60 mg/kg b.wt once or twice daily

For Babesia and mixed Haemoprotozoan disease, the dose is 15 mg/kg b.wt for 10 days.

For Cats, the dose is 7.5-10 mg/ kg b.wt twice daily. For Giardiasis, the dose is 25 mg/kg b.wt twice daily for 5- 7 days.

Safety

Not indicated for use during pregnancy in dogs and cats.
