Lunate- moon-shaped

Triquetrum- Three corners

Pisiform- pea-shaped

Distal bones from lateral to medial

Trapezium- four sided

Trapezoid- wedge-shaped

Capitate- head-shaped bone

Hamate- has a hooked process

Carpal tunnel

Formed by arch of the carpal bones and the overlying flexor retinaculum

Carpal tunnel muscles and nerve

Flexor digitorum superficialis

Flexor digitorum profundus

Flexor pollicis longus

Median nerve
