What terms are described as meaning the same thing as electron energy levels?
Shells and orbitals.
How many total electrons can the second energy level hold?
Eight.

Four.

No, it cannot travel in between.

Atomic number one, with one proton.
What type of bond is formed in water when two electrons are shared?
A single bond.
What type of bonding leads into involvement in a hydrogen bond?
Polar covalent bonding.
In the experiment described in Chapter 3, which axis represents temperature?
The y-axis.
What sequence of temperature changes occurs when ice in a container is placed on a lighted stove?
The temperature goes up a little bit, then levels off, and then starts to rise again.
